bucket seats
hey, this is probaly a really dumb question? how do you take the front bucket seats out? i tried sliding them back and forth and will not move. i've taken seats out of all my previous cars, but can't figure these out? are there bolts right on the seat rails? or is there another way at it. thanks alot for you help. adam
My plugs were pretty shot when I recently removed my seats. They basically crumbled upon prying them out.
However, its worth noting that great care should be taken when removing the seat nuts. I spent nearly 20 minutes trying to fish one out with a coat hanger when I dropped it in between the double floor pan of my '67. [:@]

tape a deep well socket to a 6 inch extention....don't skimp on the tape! this will keep the socket from falling off into the foors....

I don't know if it is the same for all stangs, but I seem to recal that the bolts holding the seats in my 67 were "star" heads. Or it could have been my 69. It was a while ago. Don't know the exact name, but I got sockets on the SK specialty tool rack at my auto parts store.
Good luck.
Good luck.

No, you just need some good snap-on sockets and ratchets, and throw those cheap Taiwanese sockets and ratchets in the nearest dump.
