Default varnish question?

well i keep hearing from mechanics that after a car has been sitting old gas can turn to tarnish and everthing needs to be taken out and cleaned and boiled , is their a easier way around this do they make a tarnish cleaner yet that u can put in th gas tank to kill any buildup?

The carb may need a little more work, especially if it was allowed to dry out. I've used fresh gas to restore some fuel systems enough to get a car to run. The F250 in my sig sat for 10 years and I was able to get it to run with 5 gallons of fresh gas. The Ford 2V is a tough/simple carb. Don't put too much gas in the tank, however, if something did get plugged up, you'll just be making the tank that much harder to remove.
