Default More progress and a sore back

Today, my goal was to get the front of the engine up to standards. I took the whole front end off again because I didn't like what I had done the first time. Anyway, the water pump had to come off to get all the old paint off it, and to repaint it. Here is where I am at the close of today. My back hurts like a SOB. You younguns need to be doing this. More pics tomorrow as I finish up with the front. Then, the middle and the exhaust manifolds. Oh Joy!

Yeah, screw factory battery. Interstate batteries are a ton better than Motorcraft batteries. I have stated many times that my ole' Yeller Mustang is not concours, but that it is as original as I can keep it. I don't show it in concours class anyway.
You probably also noticed I have the positive cable on the right side where it shoud be on the left side. Makes a ton more sense to me to have the positive away from the fender where it can short out when you remove that cable. You got any lentiment for my sore back?

Yeah, I do have a carpeted garage, but I would prefer it painted.

Betty or Laura?

You oughta try a '71 model sitting low to the ground (my knees are close to the hoodline). It don't matter how old your back is...that's a pain (and a reason to get ramps).

You have your own problems Tyler. You need to stay at home and finish the brakes.

i have a carpeted garage too, not all its cracked up to be...especially when stuff leaks and all that...its not fun laying back in a big puddle of coolant or osmething....the best is to have a nice creeper or piece of carpet and to have a nice painted cement floor....its also easier to not lose small parts....
