Your engine bay?
Pour 15 or however you spell it, I used a brush and just brushed it in my bay it looks really nice and its pretty shiny black. A spray gun would also work for 2-3 coats but I dont have a spray gun and that stuff may be too strong for it anyways.
I've used both Rustoleum's standard paints and the hammered. I like the look of the hammered and have no problem spending a couple bucks more for it.

I've had good luck with Krylon semi-flat black #1613. Very close in color to the original paint.
Also much cheaper than $6/can too.

Before I ended up painting my engine bay the same color as my car, I used SEM semi-gloss black and that stuff was tough as nails (i remember cuz when the body shop went to strip it down they asked what kind of paint it was because it was super hard to get off).
My dad and I are using a HVLP spray gun for rust protectant primer, laquer primer, and then semi-gloss paint a local shop mixed up. Should come out real nice. Of course it's wayy easier to do this with engine out
Yup, thats what I use.. The engine block I use POR15, nothing better..

I'll second the Krylon semi-gloss, Glen. It's about as close to stock as you can get in a rattle can...
