I don't have a clue as to what you are talking about.

The build sheet is what factory personnel used to add options and other trim preferences like deluxe interior, visibility group, tilt wheel, and yes...GT onto your car when it was built…it was kind of like a check sheet. As these items were included on the car, they were checked off on the "build sheet" and sometimes....SOMETIMES....placed in the car somewhere. Different Ford manufacturer locations have been known to place this item in different locations. Other then a Marti report, having one of these build sheets for your car is pretty concrete evidence as to the birth of your baby. Unfortunately, for many, knowing this and then searching for the build sheet somewhere in the car will almost always prove futile. This is because after 35+ years, numerous previous owners of your car have also searched for this Holy Grail of a personalized birth certificate. Still, every once-in-a-while when an unmolested "barn-find" shows up, it's possible to locate the vehicle's build sheet in it.

So, yes, the driver’s seat is one location you could find it. However, I've heard (read) that you may have to take the seat apart to get to it. If you have original interior...you might get lucky. It could also be in the passenger's, or even in the back, seat. You may want to look at the under-dash wiring harness (it could be taped to it) and even in-between the carpet and pad.

As luck should have it, I do have mine. It was found taped under the driver's seat. (It was a San Jose DSO car) It's a little beat up and is missing some pieces, but I have it and its legible. If I can get a picture of it, I’ll try to post it to give you an idea of what you’re looking for.

I wish you look and hope you can find it...however, chances are someone else already found it and didn't pass it on to subsequent owners.

For what its worth....

I found two copies of my build sheet. One under the rear seat of my 70 Mach 1. The other was under the drivers seat. If you reach under the seat and feel around in the metal spring and support section beneath the seat bottom you may find a copy. Be careful, because the sheet will be fragile . In my 70 Mach 1 I removed the bottom section of the rear seat during my resto and I found a second copy. I was the second owner, and have had the car since 1978. Good luck.

It can be almost anywhere inside the car if it is still there. The most common places are under the carpet, under the front seat, and under the dash. Those are really nice to have if they are still legible, as it tells you exactly what was originally put in your car.
