Default Got hit over the weekend.

Hi all,
After a 250 mile oneway road trip I took over the weekend to a family reunion I got rear ended. I had to stop for a light and got hit. The damage is minimal as I saw her comming and let off the brake and starting rolling a bit. The bumper is bent and a small dent in my rear valance. I figure the damage to be about 400.00. The good news I drove her 500 miles and only had a power steering hose rupture. I had tools with me and fixed the hose while I was in the big city. The return trip was without incident. Now to call the insurance company. [:@]

Man, after all the work and care you recently gave your car. Really sux, but at least the damage was minimal and you didn't get hurt. Still sux.

Check your insurance policy to see what your deductible is. It may be 400 or more, so you would not be getting any money from the insurance co. if it is. You would only manage to get your insurance premium raised.

I doubt he would be at fault if he was rear ended. Did the other driver have ins. ?

That brings in another aspect. Do you have uninsured insurance?
