Removing Speedo Needle
I got some gauge overlays but can't figure out how to remove the speedometer needle in order to install them.
It's got a pin riveted into the needle assembly that runs through the gauge face and into the gearing, just pull outward?

is that a stock speedo for your car? i like the running pony. On my 66 speedo all i did was pull it off. it never did stay on though after that. [&:]
I pinch-roll my thumb and forefinger under the needle 180 degrees apart which applies even upwards pressure for a straight pull. Make sure not to twist the needle at all, or it won't register correctly. Install is exact oposite pressure with the same two fingers in the same two spots rolling away from the needle.
You mean one of these?
