bullitt wheels on an old stang
anyone ever swap some bullitt wheels on their old stang?
I have a 67 that I want to run them on but I see that the backspace is different. I was planning on using the pre-2004 wheels because they have a smaller backspace then the 05 and newer ones. I see that there are some companies that sell them with a 4.5" backspace to fit the older cars, but I would rather go with original ford wheels if I can. So has anyone tried this before?
thanks

Tons of people have put bullitts on their 'Stangs...their even a little overdone IMO. They do look good though. If you want to see how they look check out the gallery. I think mojoe and Slickstang have them.
Mine are American Racing Torque Thrust II's 67Sally. Similar to the bullits, but not quite the same. If I had to pick between the two, I would go with the TT II's. just my .02
Hey all, 18 by 9's on my 1972. The 18's clear the upper ball joint a little bit better. I had to do some shock tower rust repair and was not able to do the Shelby mod on my car. [:@] But I got a 1968 cougar for my 2nd project and that one did get the Shelby mod (lowered upper control arms).
Tires on the 72 are 265 / 35 WR18 Sumitomo HTRZII all around. I have room for 18 by 10 in the back but that size was backordered for a month...
