im in the process of re-wiring my dash and as i pulled the old dash out of the parts car a clear/white vacumn canister came with it. There are two red wires attached to it too. Anyone know what this is? It's right behind the ignition switch. It had a small cable atached to the steering column. Thanks.

ok, sorry i couldnt get a pic up earlier, but now im back home. i have no idea why it would be related to the turn signals or the tilt column, but this is the pic. There is a hole for a vacumn hose on the back of the smaller black cylinder.

yep, maybe tilt away steering. DOes your car have tilt wheel? If so, you have have tilt away steering. What it does is, move the steering wheel away, when you open the door. Do you have two door switches or just one?

ya my 67 had the everything for it cept the actual column cause i saw everything it needed in the cept my column so i thing it was replaced
