Default Original 65 Grille assembly..what's it worth?

I recently went out to California to pick up my 68 mustang and I stopped by my dad's house on the way home. We start talking about all the things I plan to do my mustang an he starts telling me about his 65 musting. Then he goes into how he used to work at a body shop in the 60's and he has a few original mustang parts that he saved for his 65 but never used. He sold his 65 a long time ago but kept these original parts for almost 35 years. The parts are a complete 65 front grille assembly. All the crome and the trim that goes around the grill. Everything but the grill itself. It's all still in the original Ford boxes and in perfect condition because he always stored them correctly. Even the boxes are in great shape.

Now here is where even I get confused. My dad has no use for them so he wants to sell them so he asks me to put them on Ebay and we can split the profit. I thought he should keep them but he says all they will do is take up space in his garage for another 35 years.

So my question is.......how much are these worth?

So basically it would look better on the wall of my office instead of selling it for a few hundred bucks if that.

Oh well, I wish my dad would have kept that 65 to put them on.

Go ahead and sell them on Ebay. They will do you no good.
Now, you know about how much they are worth. Buy your wife or GF a nice present with the funds.

all origional chrome and mouldings will go for a pretty penny since it is all NOS, someone doing a MCA Concours restoration will pay a lot

not if it is too badly deteriorated....As for me, I have seen a NOS 1940 door latch sell for $250....not bad for a $3.50 part when new....I have spent quite a bit of time looking for radiator tanks with the correct date stamps for concours guys

People flock for NOS on e-bay. I've seen things go for rediculous amounts. And, in good boxes, all the better. List it at $200 or best offer. You'll sell it. 4 times aftermarket prices...for the right buyer. Cost you like $5 on e-bay if it does not sell. Good luck! People are crazy!
