Put disk brakes on it. And while you are at it, upgrade the front suspension to V8 parts so that you will have that already done when you swap to a V8.

Google "Grab-A-Trac" suspension kits. Several Mustang vendors carry them.
Mustangs Plus for one.
We have talked about this before. Take a read.

I just finished replacing everything between the wheels of mine - excluding the rack and steering box. I spent about 600 bucks all said and done. That's w/ a new export brace.

As far as what you should do with the new pony? That's all in direct relation to how much money you want to spend. Are you asking what you should do to keep it sound as a daily driver? or asking what you should do in the first steps to reso - resto/modding it?

Both are very different.

Keep the 6, drive it and enjoy it, rfind all the info that you can on 6 to V8.. convertion=a lot of money and work and if some day you decide to sell it many buyers will look for something factory original..wait, safe your money, drive this car and wait for a V8 if it is what you realy want..but that is only my opinon.

i personally dont know anyone who would complain getting an original sixer car that now has a V8 in it....as least your average person......

the restomod thing is too big now...i dont see concours s cars being all that popular anymore....maybe its just me but i think its safe to say, if you do the car nice and with a V8, it will be worth more than an original condition I6.....
