I'm 27, got my 68 mustang when I was 14. Sold it to my Dad who sold it to my brother who sold it back to me. Now I have it back 13 years after I first got it. This car will never leave our family.

I will turn 36 in a couple of weeks and I have owned my 69 Mach since 1986. I paid $7000 which was plenty of money for it back then but the car was in great shape. She had 123k miles on it and now reads 188k. It served as my May to October daily driver for about 11 years. I haven't driven it much in the last 5 years or so because it needed some TLC. I came very close to selling it a few times while it's been parked but always backed out at the last minute. I decided earlier this year that if I couldn't bring myself to sell her then it was time to show her the money. I dismantled her rather nervously in April and am in the middle of a rotisserie restoration. We've got 20 years behind us, I'm looking forward to the next 20.

As long as we are doing lists here is mine

Age 16 first stang, 66 fastback C code pony Automatic. Rolled it and parted it out.

Age 17 Second stang, 67 coupe C code 3 speed w/deluxe int and ribbed tail light panels. Fell asleep at the wheel and run it up on a gaurd rail at age 24. Parted it out.

Age 25 bought a 67coupe and fastback, coupe hit in the back and fastback hit in the front. Clipped them and made one. Painted it and sold it.

Age 33 bought a 65 GT fastback POS. Took 30 days leave and restored the car. Had $14,000 in the car. Decided it was time get married (dumbass!) and sold the car for $9500. That was 1992. Damn I wish I had that one back!!

Now I'm on my 67 coupe project I'm sure you all have seen. There were various other parts cars and cars I have bought just to turn around and sell.

Here are some before pics of the one that got away.

Born in 1959. Makes me 46. I still own my first Mustang. 1970 Mach 1. I was 18 when I paid a whopping $600 for her. My Dad always owned Fords. When I was in the 6th grade, I used to walk home from school and everyday pass a brand new Forest green 1969 Mach 1. I new right then and there that I would someday own one. After multiple attempts at buying a 69, I found a 70. The lines of that body style still makes the skin tingle.
