[8D]...what engine options were there on the 1967 Shelby GT500.....I do know that the 428/355 2x4, hydraulic cam, 10.50:1, was one......were there any other options, engine? cam? carb? etc

No other option as far as I know. They all came with the same dual quad 428.

 

True....All 1967 GT 500's had 428 engines.

 

I have been told that a 428 w/single 4BBL (855cfm Holley) & .527" solid lifter cam was an option and Shelby documented this.... any truth to this?

 

maybe...the rumor is that the first few had pant, pant, pant, 427's

Carol also stated that there are "half a dozen" 1966 GT350 verts, yet there are only records of 4....

(edited)..my question involves NHRA drag racing .....NHRA has accepted the 1967 Shelby 428 w/a single 855 Holley, Alum intake, .527" solid lifter cam, from documentation (supposedly) sent to them by Carroll Shelby, saying that these cars were built & sold as noted with these options.....

So I ask the experts, was this combination ever built???
