carb trades?

Default carb trades?

ok, so this guy at my work, he has a 69 camaro and just had it totally restored after he slid off the road during a rainstorm. well he ahd his 350 rebuilt professionally, and he has a edelbrock 700cfm carb on it. 4barrel electric choke. he wants to know if i would be insterested in a trade of my 4barrel electric choke edelbrock 650cfm. do you think i should trade??

he told me he feels like its too much carb and actually wants to get a 600, but if ill trade my 650 he will take that too.

Never heard of a 50cfm carb. If there is such an animal, it probably goes on a lawn mower. Seriously, if you have a 500 cfm, and he wants to trade his 700 for it, then you need to decide if you actually need a 700. Probably not, so stick with the 500.

well its not that i dont know what its been through, no fires, practically brand new. but is there even a big diff between a 650 and 700? both 4 barrel, both electric choke and both edelbrock

650 is a good size for a 351

+1. A 700 would be a bit much for a 351 without a big cam and single plane manifold.
