Default Need advice - possible purchase.

I just got back from looking at a 67 coupe.

Frame rails, floor pans and cowl are in good shape, very minimal rust.

Trunk has minimal rust, it's near the driver side wheel well and can be patched fairly easy.

302 ( not original ) what appears to be a c4 in decent shape ( not aware of any work done although they have the generic chrome dress up kit on the motor )

I ran my hand around the typical rust places and found the rear quater to have some bondo work. Either I suck at detecting bondo w/ out a magnet, or the car is basically bondo free.

The paint is oxidized and it's got some primer

It's going to need a wiring harness most likely as I can see some butchering, however, I didn't look real hard. I was trying to make the car out to be a total loss so the guy was not getting second thoughts.

Do I go ****** it up or not?

I can pick this car up right now for 2k.

For a decent driver 2k isnt bad at all.. If nothing else you could always part it out or build a race car out of it..

I was thinking I could use that as a tinker project. It just seems like too good of a deal to pass up w/ what I see simular cars on fleebay going for.
