Dif between C and W

Default Dif between C and W

Hey

Could someone explain the difference between a Cleveland and a Windsor pls.

the cleveland is better

the w is from the a small block thats basicallly an widened 289/302 and uses 6 bolt valve covers
the c is a completely different engine family it has a timing cover that is made in to the block except for the outermost part.has high flowing canted valve head with eight valve cover bolts lots of other differences but i gotta go to bed

dont forget the radiator bolts into the intake on the W and into the block on the C

and the intake on a c doesnt have water gouing thru it like a w and lots of other stuff yeah definitely check the faq out lots of cool info and tidbits

The only thing they have in common are bore and stroke for the 351 models. Aside from that they are completely different animals.

The C is physically larger and better for high rpm use (once the oiling problem is addressed). The W is more of a torque monster from the factory. It can be rebuilt for high rpm use with new heads (and of course cam and intake).
