Hell, looks rust free to me..... but then I may have a different perspective than you.....

Looks like no structural problem, just clean the entire area to see if it's any worse than that.

Just wire wheel the suspected areas , then prime and paint it.

I think I see the rust you are talking about. If indeed that is rust, it looks like a floor pan replacement may be in order.

Looks like the floorpan is rotted a bit near the trans tunnel. I can point it out for the rest of you if you like How to fix that is easy, clean the entire area so there is only bare metal then you will find the extent of the rusted areas. Once you find out how much of the floor is gone, you can then get patches or replacement floors for it. Just on the surface it doesnt look like you will need an entire floor, just a patch or two. You can get those from the sheetmetal vendors everyone asks about ie who is the best, etc etc etc.

i wish i had that problem[&o]....owell, i would sand down the floor to see how bad the rust actually is, if its confined to that area then small patch, if its further out put the whole pan in on that side and stick a fork in it

Agree that you need to remove the rust from the area to see just how bad it is. Could get by with a single replacement panel or may need to go with a full length floor pan replacement on that side. Personally, I would remove the seat and pull the carpet and sound deadener on that side to get a look at the floor from the inside as well. The Mustang I purchased recently looked fine from the underside, but after I got it home and pulled all the carpeting and sound deadener out, I took a wire wheel to the floor to remove the "minor" rust. I'll be replacing the driver's side floor pan now.
