Default removing headers

hey guys,

i am restoring my engine and it is time for me to pull the motor block, but one thing is stoppping me from actually pulling it, i cant get the headers off. the pipes are in the way of the bolts, i cant get a wrench or any tool around the bolt, there just is not enough room around the bolt to get a tool around it, i know there is a tool out there that will help me get them off, some how someone get them on, so there has to be away to take them off, any help would be great! Thanks.

They got there somehow, probably with an open end wrench and a few hours of flipping it back and forth. Try from top and bottom. If the headers are trashy, cut them off.

its not the hight, like the pipes are getting in the way of the wrench, its the cercumferance around the bolt, there is only like a 1/32" of space around the bolt. i cant post pics, i dont have a digital camera.

Then you probably need a thin walled socket.

yep, a thin socket, or the open end of a wrench.
