Default strange knock

Oil pressure is good, engine has about 6000 miles since rebuild, and compression is good. Sounds like a diesel just not as loud. Since i have 351 heads on a 289 i'm thinking the guy before me may have installed 6.805 pushrods instead of 6.905 ( i may have those backwards) which i just learned a week ago. Do you think it would sound like that or more of a ticking?

Has it done this from the begining? OR is it something that has developed over time?
Some things that Knock:
loose rods
Loose pistons
Loose pushrods
too high compression
door to door salesmen
too advanced timing
too long of bolt in torque converter
Church people on Sunday, right when your team is about to score
The milk man (at least until I got a divorce. He never comes around anymore, ...Hmmmm )
