i need to know what rear end i have. it was changed out before i dont know to what it may be another 8". what do i mesure?

Measure the center section. If you post a pic of it, I can probably tell just by lookin at it.

wow nice site cannonball, so from that info it looks like stock 65/66 housing...so here some pic for you guys to tell me before i buy new gears

i looked on the tag and it reads (top line) W0Z-E, (bottom line) 2 80 600 930 ... so my gear is 2.8, and it says "930" is a 67-69 8" rear...Yes?

I wonder why the 8" has 2.8 but my 9" has 2.73[&:]

8" and 9" don't have the same gear set ratios. It has to do with the number of teeth on the pinion.

....and besides the fact....a 2.73 and a 2.80 will feel like the same exact ratio.
