I think its a tach and shift light in one yeah? I really dont to buy a gauge tach, so will this work like a regular tach and plug into my MSD box?

Actually you're wrong, these are the newest little things coming out of auto meter. It's a tach contained within the shift light. The digital numbers give you real time feedback on engine rpm, and the lights go off when you shift...it IS both in one. One of the more expensive ones of these has different colored lights that you can set to go off for a particular gear....(i.e. blue is for 1st, yellow for 2nd, red for 3rd....etc.)

edit: this is the one with the multi colored shift lights.

They even come with replay mode, and I saw one on Summit's site that has a built in 2 position rev limiter.
A couple of them will fit in a standard 2-1/16" gauge pod.
Very cool stuff out now-a-days.

i think thats ugly, gimme a normal ole big tach, im going to either mount it on the steering column in front of the guages, ot on the upper left area on top of the dash. next to the window.

Yeaaaaaaaaaauuuuhhhhh BOOOOOYEEEEE[8D]

volcom, you don't need a digi box to run the thing. Its just a digital guage. and btw, 5" tachs look just fine if you do it right. Mine sits on a pedastal that lowers it down into the nook of the dash pad. Makes it feel smaller.
