Default Purple Mustang

I saw this weeks ago and had to snap a pic ... not sure if it's a '65 or '66 as I didn't get up close and personal with it ... but the color .. 'nuff said

At any rate it is not a 65 or 66. Look at the bottom crease in the rear quarter, and that it only extends about halfway to the middle of the door. That same crease goes all the way to the front fender on 65 and 66. Also, check the shape of the hood. Hard to see through that fence, but appears to be either a 67 or a 68. Here is a pic of a 67. See what I mean?

It broke my heart to see what they did to a classic. If I have time tomorrow I'm going to get up close and personal with it and take more photos, plus ask how much they want for it.

Up close I'd be able to tell what year it is.

Funny thing is I saw a '67 Impala in a bright purple and it seemed appropriate somehow.

It is definitely a 68. All 67s had the two quarter scoop-type (recessed) ornaments like the one in Soarings post

You can also tell it's a 68 from the front side reflector/light that started in 68.
