Default 71-73 fastback question

Does anyone know if a quarter window regulator out of a coupe or convertible will work in a fastback? THe back windows in my 71 don't roll down and it drives me carzy! Converting to power windows would be nice, but finding a complete setup seems imposible.

On page 166 of the NPD 2006 catalog, they list the 71-73 quarter window regulators without specifying coupe, vert or fastback, so it would be a pretty good assumption that it will fit. Just remember that you have a left hand and a right hand regulator.

Yeah. It would probably suck trying to roll down the right side window and having to use your left hand.

From what I remember in the Mustangs Plus catologue(SP), the set up for the power window conversion wasn't too bad.

That is one of many corrections that NPD needs to make in their catalog. It lists the 65-66 as for a coupe or vert, but not a fastback. But, the 71-73 is not listed as model specific. However, the Texas Mustang catalog does list the 71-73 as for coupe and vert only. I wonder where he can find a regulator for a fastback?

In order to make the FB windows roll down, you'd have to do A LOT of fabrication. It'd probably be easier to make a pop-out windows, much like T-tops.

I think I would get on the phone and call some of the mustang parts vendors to locate the regulator before I reverted to modifying the quarter window.
