best rear disc package
just a wondering what the best rear disc setup would be. Not something overkill but something thats worth the money, don't want slotted and drilled maybe sloted but not drilled pref. just normal. Anyone got any suggestions
If you are concerned about money, and you have some wrenching skills, the 1977-79 Lincoln Versailles have the 9" rear and the disk brake setup. Just go to a junk yard and rob it off one of them. Best I remember though, one of our members did that and said it was a pain to get it in, but it worked.
The problem with the Versailles rear end is that it's too wide for a '66. Also, according to DFWMotorsports.com it cannot be shortened. Also, the axles are 5 on 5" instead of 5 on 4.5"
