shock tower replacement
im going to have to replace the shock tower in my mustang, its not rusted out, its just twisted. Whats the best way to go about this? The shock tower i will be using is coming out of a donor car. Another thing, i put a full floor pan in my mustang and it doesnt really fit the front cross member like i think it should, there is a gap big enough for me to stick my finger through between the pan and the cross brace, whats up with that?

can't help u on the floor pan, but i had the shock tower replaced in mine. All i did was remove the engine and fender and have a shop fix it with the one i bought. Paid something like 120.00
If the pictures you posted indicate the condition of the car right now, then all you have to do is take out the shock, remove the coil spring, then cut out the spot welds and spot weld in the donor car shock tower. Not sure why your floor pan is not lining up properly. Since your shock tower was twisted, then something traumatic had to happen to that front end. You may need to take that body to a frame shop.
Your tweaked... but dont freak out. Sounds like the frame is not square. I would take it to a frame shop and have them assess it and straighten it. There are plenty of specifications out there for all of these cars. They should be able to tell you something and square it up for you.
It is going to cost a couple of bucks, but you dont want to go forward without it.

Yeap, you'd probably be better off getting a new one, $96.95 + shipping
