Yes, they all fit. Most will fit in an empty trunk. Pretty much the rest will fit in the back seat. Worse case scenario you can strap it to the roof, or hood.
Not sure why you'd want that, but to each their own.

Just a hint. try searching on the word Rack in any classic forum. You will get an incredible amount of information.

Ssshhh! don't tell anyone. The search button is supposed to be a secret.

If you'd like to see a poorly done write up on the install of a Rack and Pinion kit designed for the classic Mustang, you can check the web page in my signature. Or do a google search on TCP, Randall's Rack, Flaming hemroids...Uh I mean River, Steeroids, Maval, Heidt's....

Good luck,

Scott is getting loose and giddy, but probably knows more about our old stangs than most of us combined.

Actually I was just clowning around.
But seriously, if you do a search on any of those names, you will find so much information No way could you read it all before retirement, unless your name is Evelyn Wood.
There have been a lot of people who have done these installs, then done good writeups (unlike mine) on their own web sites.
Check it out. Also search a few forums, for the same names.

As to new cars, almost all are front steer, which means the rack will not work. Well...let me clarify, it would take a serious amount of machining specialty parts for the rack itself, to make front steer rack work for rear steering. You could install a complete front end kit like the Heidt's I mentioned above. It comes with a rack.
And to make it even more complex, there are more options than just R&P to have really great steering.

BTW: Soaring is giving me way more credit than I deserve. There are quite a few exceptionally knowledgeable people on this forum, including Soaring himself.
