Paint questions - need some help
hi guys
one of my mates has a stock 302 67 coupe that he is restoring from pretty bad shape (if not POD, then pretty close).
the original exterior color was lime gold and the interior was similar, but looks like 2 slightly different colors. He had 2-tone seats with white/lime gold (sort of) trim.
Questions
does anyone know or know of an internet resource that will tell him what the interior colors should be to match that lime gold exterior?
Where do you buy a "genuine" or concours match to those paint colors?
my understanding is that we cannot import car paint from the US to Australia. What he really needs is some tins of sample paint that can be matched by a local shop. Unfortunately, the paint work on the car is too far gone to get a true color and he wants to match the original exactly if that is possible.
thanks for any assistance

I suggest he get a Marti report here.
http://martiauto.com/
The report will tell you everything about the car when it was new and looks like this.

thanks everyone for your replies...the time thing is frustratiing as its like a remote chat rather than real time!
I spoke to him about the Marti Report. He has one, so he knows what the colors are supposed to be...its now a case of trying to match the colors.
rmodel, I only got a look at the car about 3 weeks ago. I also had a look under the rear package tray and unfortunately where there was some rust or damage some PO has sprayed part of it with a kind of primer. there is some paint that looks like it is probably ok, but he doesnt want to rely on it. the biggest pain is that the nearest paint shop of significance is 250miles from him and he'd have to trailer the car there.
also, the interior appears to have 2 different colors...close but not the same. this seems wierd to me.
anyway, I'll leave it to him to figure that bit out.

if you guys have the paint code from that auto color library or a marti report, how do you get paint to match? Are there specialist paint shops or can anyone over there make up the paint from that info? Brandon, where would you get the samples?
sorry if it seems a stupid question, but my mustang was painted when I bought it. I've never had a need to match an original color
cheers
Here is the original paint chip chart for 67, it appears the PPG color code is 43576. Any PPG dealer will make you the paint I would think.

As for the upholstery, I know www.npdlink.com sells a 67 Lime Gold upholstery set.
