Default Headers

I've already posted this question once but didn't get much of a response. I could use some help on this one. I'm building a 347 for my 65 and am trying to make a header decision. I want longtubes. I have heddman's right now and they fit awful. I'm trying to stay reasonable priced. Does anybody have suggestions? I want something that fits well but well flow well enough for my motor. Also, do i need specific headers for my trick flow heads? Is it worth the extra money for ceramic coated? I know somebody out there has more experience on this than I do.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Default RE: Headers

I recently got a set of Hooker Headers for my 351W. So far, they fit alright. Havent really tried to hook up the exhaust since I'm not really that far in my project yet.lol. I wish I could be sure about your heads, but most heads I've seen fit most OE headers. I didnt go with ceramic coating, but to be honest, if you live in a humid area where rust is likely, then i'd pay the extra hundred or so. I think ceramic hookers go for liuke 350-400. I got mine from Jeg's so feel free to check them out.

Any Opinions on Dynomax Blackjack headers? Sound good? Perform well?

Is it worth the extra money for ceramic coated?

my understanding is the biggest advantage of ceramic coating is removing heat more efficiently. so they are better for racing applications but not likely to be noticed in the odd traffic light tearaway.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

do you guys get the 4 into 1 style headers or more like tri-y's?

im not so sure that makes a difference as opposed to least constricting route to the exit and the diameter of the tubes....
