Default problem need help

well i took it out for a drive for the first time in a month and and everytime i used the turn signal it would short out my radio. any suggestions?

Whenever you store these old cars, you get a build up of moisture in the entire car to include the electrical system. Drive it daily for awhile then see if it still does the same thing.

Had similar prob after install of a grant steering wheel. Horn contacts were worn down causing backing plate from steering wheel to touch various wire connectors on the turn signal assy. Somehow, the radio would short out and stop working with signal was on. Was able to rig glass fuse ends over the horn contacts. This provided more space between backing plate and whatever wire was being touched. Just my two cents on your dilemma but Soaring may be right as well with the moisture/corrosion build up on these old electrical systems...good luck and keep us informed of your solution....
