i have a 69 coupe that is an automatic. i am beginning to like the idea of driving a manual, however, i dont know if ts something i want to try to attempt. has anyone done this or know anything about the amount of work involved.

its extremely possible and the most likely route you will wanna go is a T5 swap. search the forums for more info on this swap....i think theres a few stickys or soemthing about it too....

its easy!!!! the t-5 would probably work behind a 289.302,351w and maybe the clevland and modified? it will fit right in there. but be sure a plug the coilent holes in you radiator. But theres and old wise saying that works very good in life! (thats if the automatic is good) IF ITS NOT BROKE - DONT FIX IT! but its yours, do what you want!!!!!!!!! a top loader from a earlier fox body stlye gt might work too, then there would be no linkage to fool with.

There are lots of campanies and info out there on the subject. If you have the money it can be done.
Ive been looking at converting my 68 when I rebuild the engine. Ive been looking into this company

Plan on spending about $3000 if you're buying all new parts and want a hydraulic clutch. Check out Modern Driveline. I bought all my own stuff, but I wish I had bought a kit from them.

It can be done and fairly simple as well. Assuming you have some mechanical skills. Look in the FAQ section. There are a couple of links to articles telling you exactly what you will need.
