Default v8 vs 6cyl Drums

Im moving up to 5 lugs and to 15 inch wheels (some idiot in the past put 13 inchers on it!). Im betting I cant just take a V8 drum and switch it out with the 6cyl drum on my rear wheels?

Otherwise ints another 150 dollars

well, ford rear ends are comprised of 3 pieces, a center chunk and 2 axles. i believe you can source some 5 lug axles that are the correct length. tho i'd just recommend upgrading to an 8 inch rear w/ 5 lug and call it a day. (i'm assuming you have the 7 something rear end in 6 cylinders?)

Depends on the size of your shoes. The 302 and the I6 used the same brakes in '71. Of course, they were all 5-lug and even the 6er came with an 8 inch.

So, if the drum fits the shoe, you're good, otherwise $$$.
