Default 68 air filter housing

I just bought a 1968 mustang 6 cylinder. I don't think the air filter housing that came with the car is the right one. How can I tell? I have taken the measurements that the filter should be according to the housing - how can I find a filter by using the measurements? I thought Ford stamped all their parts. This filter housing has absolutely no writing on it anywhere!!

If your just having trouble finding a filter element, just take the air cleaner housing to the auto parts store and match one up.
