how to keep 67 vert from twisting?
This is what i've been told. Get car level, replace or rebuild hinges get both doors lined up so body lines are str8 and doors work perfectly. Then brace the inside of the car with angle iron from front windshield to rear of the floors and from the tunnel to the sides of the car. I guess my question is has anyone here done complete restoration on a vert if so what steps did u go through to keep the car str8. This car needs everthing replaced underneath from frame rails to frame rails. I' m just at a loss as to where and how to start. I was also told to start with the inner rocker and do one piece at a time. Need help getting a couple of the puzzle pieces together .
Any advice on this would b great.

After you get the frame rails replaced, install frame rail connectors from front to rear and side to side and new torque boxes. Also, check under the hood to make sure the front to cowl brace is in good shape.

The site muggsy showed looks to be the best info I've seen for replacing frame rails. Why are you concerned with flexing? Is it simply because of the condition of your frame or are you concerned about flexing after you fix the frame issues? I have a 67 Vert but, all my frame rails and suppurts underneath were in pristine condition. I didn't have to replace any of that stuff. I did add sub frame connectors and the export bracing up top. Also, I welded in a 6 point cage with removable back and side bars. My car runs 10.0's and I don't have any flex issues with the car. Here's a few pics of the bracing.

The subframe looks good will probaly go with something like. Did you make those are did you buy someplace? My concern with the car twisting is that the car is so bad underneath that when I cut the rockers out the car will try and shift or move and I wont be able to get the new parts in and keep the body and doors str8. I plan to do just one rocker at a time and as long as I dont move the car it should b fine I hope. Right now the car is up on jack stands two under rear floor pans wher the back seat was and two under the support where the transmission was and I have the center tunnel supported. The rockers are level so I figure when I put the new one in just keep it level right?

I wish I could tell you but, I just don't know. Like I said, mine was pretty solid underneath so I didn't have to do any repairs the the underside of the car. I think you are on the right track but, I'm no expert. My subfame connector are custom. Good luck and keep us posted with your progress.
