How much fabricating did you guys have to do to get the billet grille installed? Mine came in yesterday for my 67 and I thought this would be an easy sway. I unbolted the old grille and had it out in minutes. I then unpacked the new and uh oh? None of the mounting holes line up, if I line up the holes on the grille to the holes on the hood latching plate I still have a 1-2 inch gap at the bottom of the grille opening? Do you think they shipped me the wrong grille or did you guys have to do a lot of work to make this thing work? I talked to NPD and they are sending me a call tag to return the grille and match up with the correct one. I was just hoping someone could help out and save me the time if this is as good as it gets?

 

If there is a gap at the bottom, they probably sent you a 65-66. The correct one should fit perfect.

 

No modifications are necessary. Send it back to NPD.

 

Thanks guys. Have either of you put one of these grilles in your car? I was guessing that i have the wrong one but, you never know.
