Default Full Interior Restoration = $

Here are the items:

Full dash restoration - welding into place the metal repair kit and put in original radio (dash had been cut), and repaint. Also, new dashpad and all chrome items back to showroom new, repaint interior doors...

In addition, new door panels, new quater panels - top and bottom, new trap door (fastback), new carpet, new sterring wheel, new headliner, new 3 point seats belts, new front seats, restore Rally-pac, new glove box, new instrument cluster, lenses, etc., new weatherstriping, etc. and complete sound deadening with dynotmat.

In other words, if you were to strip the ineterior of your car to bare metal and and bring it back to A+, showroom "as new" condition with top notch materials...

How much do you estimate it would cost... and...

Do you think it would be worth doing?

I'd figure about $4k doing it yourself. If you take it for paint, figure another $2K. On a fastback, I'd think it's almost madatory.
NPD puts out a really good catalog, if you don't all ready have it.
Good luck,

I thought he was looking to go deluxe interior, in which case it gets way more expensive. Plus he is looking to do a lot more than what you posted. Look over his list again. It's pretty extensive, and it's a fastback, so there are a lot more pieces than a coupe or convertible.

The 71 will get a bunch of custom stuff made for it, sorta the same way you would recover a headliner in a newer car.. But yeah to buy all the stuff its gonna cost you a heap of cash..
