summit header
I have them on my 70 GTO that has a 455 in it. I know its not a Mustang, so how they would fit a stang I cant attest to. But they work well on the GTO, didnt leak and made decent power for a small tube header. If you are on a budget they will work good. I tend to get the ceramic coated Hookers now, and my round port Pontiacs need the super comp headers because nothing else fits the ports.
Summit sells a decent piece, it wont last forever like a coated header, and they may need some tweaking, they may not. They arent complete junk though imho...

Thanks. The reason I'm asking this question is because I've currently got an FMX which I'm going to replace in the next couple of years with an AOD. Nobody makes a long header that would fit both. I'd have to go with a shorty. So in the meantime, I'll reassemble the car with a cheap long pipe header, then buy a quality pair when I make the change to an AOD.
Im tryin to figure out why the AOD wont work with long tubes... it isnt any wider than most transmissions.. must be a linkage issue.
Well I will find out when one goes in either of the Cleveland powered cars.. since they both have long tubes.. maybe i just put up with more stuff not being on the car..lol
