Default '66 mustang

I went and looked at a 66 coupe today... i like the car but i have a question...the guy who owns it put a 5.0 302 in it...but the wheels are still 4 lug...does this mean that he just dropped the motor in it without changing the rearend and suspension?

thanks for the help

sounds like it, unless he REALLY wanted to have 4 lugs because you know, FOX body stangs are so awesome and they have 4 lugs... lol...

There is a big difference in a 66 4 lug to a 80's 4 lug. I agree that a 8.8 is todays version of the 9" but I would not even try to keep that old 4 lug with a 302 in it..

You know you can't just "swap" a new 8.8 into an early musatng. But I have seen 8.8 in them with some help..
