I drew a 3d landscape that changes every 30 minutes so it keeps up with the actual time of day (48 different photos) Each one took about 3 hrs to render when I was first making it. Here is a link to an animation that shows the elapsed 24 hr cycle (of course its small and poor quality but you’ll get the idea) check it out
