Default Restomod Advice

I'm putting together a '65 with a '95 EFI 5.0 and t-5 and looking for tips and suggestions from people who have done this in the past. How they set-up and modified the wiring (power windows, locks, stereo, intermittent wipers), any suggestions on how the mount the motor and trans, cooling. Pictures and such on how people did the center console with a modern stereo or LCD screen, I really don't want to cut into the dash. Also any suggestions with modernizing the suspension, I plan on using the fat-man kit for power discs and steering and '95 suspension. Just any experiences people have had, roadblocks ran into, helpful hints, or any restoration tips in general, any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Also about seats, I heard that you can fit '94-'04 seats in if you remove the seat frame rails and replace them with '65, '66 rails. Is there any truth to this rumor? Also I don't plan on butchering this classic, all mods I plan on doing will be readily reversable, no cutting the metal.

Im new so all I can say is If you want an LCD screen without cutting into your dashboard your best option is to buy the stereos which have screen that come out of the unit.

you could coustom build a console that fits under the dash and to the floor and put the lcd screen in it. sort of like this, keep in mind it was a five second ms paint drawing but you can see what I mean, and I have a 67 so I kind of guessed at what the 65 interior looked like

As you can see I do not belong in the chop shop

The custom built console is a good idea. What are you looking for in the LCD screen though? A GPS or DVD or something? For the seats you could probably weld the seat rails to the bottom (not sure where) of the sn95 seats. I'd search around MustangMonthly's website and here for some better ideas of what a 5.0 swap requires.

It sounds like you need to do a whole lot more research on this project.
If you are using a '95 for a donor car, the custom console is almost imperitive due to the longer bell housing and consequent shifter position placement further back in the car. So a stock console won't work without some creativity.
And that's about the easiest part of the project you are planning.
Good luck,

for suspension upgrades i would look to http://www.totalcontrolproducts.com/main.html - i have their entire front and rear suspension on my car and it handles great. although costly, it doesnt seem to be a large issue with some of the things you are planning for the car of yours.

Anybody wanting to install an LCD screen and watching that while cruising in a classic stang is beyond me.
