fuel pressure?

Default fuel pressure?

i have a edlebrock carb and when i turn the car off the carb fills up with gas would this be fuel pressure problem? then if i open it up and re adjust the float it will work but f i wait a few days it starts acting up again ? any advice

Well recommended fuel pressure is between 5-7psi, so not very much at all. And when you say its filling up with gas, do you mean you can see gas pouring out of the venturi's when the car isnt running? The float bowls should be full when the vehicle isnt running anyway, they shouldnt go dry once you shut the car off.

its not the fuel bowls that fill up when i turn the car off gas pours out of the nozzles it fills the carb up about a 1/4 in of gas it also floods when driving

It could be the power valve. A backfire out the carb could have blow the power valve. How old is the carb?

the carb is brand new right out of the box
