yeh right rmodel...as if you could keep from sinking the slipper into it!!! i know I couldnt

I say rice...old honda or subaru. Boring (unless you get a turbo subaru then fuel and tires become an issue again) but cheap and generally very reliable. I have had 3 subies incl current one. They are all but unkillable.

whats the plan for the stang?

just all round clean up and reinforcemnt alot of stuff needs work and its draining my pocket book and keeping me without transportation alot so i need something reliable w/ a/c (phx,az) cause the heat here has destroyed bushings and rubber lines and wiring and its just causing headaches that i don't need right now but learning from my neighbors mistake and not selling it and just storing it for 2-2.5 yrs till i am out of school is my plan i will keep it running and drive it prolly once a week or so just to work cause its across the street

you must be less of a leadfoot than I thought. I can get 28 from my current suby and maybe 32 or 3 on a long trip, behaving and with the snooze control set but thats about as good as it gets for me. All my other cars are thirsty no matter how nice i drive them.

so Brandon, maybe you could get another mustang? that is a 20 year old car that rmodel is referring to. is reliability going to be an issue? Not dissing it, just asking whats likely to be wrong with that model mustang at that age?

most svo are well kept they only made a little over 9000 and they have a nearly bullet proof 2.3 like the rangers with a garret t3 turbo 140mph car from the factory best handling mustang ever, koni, mushroom head strut tops, lincoln mark 7 brakes in 5 lug(only this car and the 93 cobra "r" got 5 lug brakes) special wheel low drag aero wheels bi plane spoiler etc

ok, looks quite 80's but the hood scoop is cool. I like it but I would be tempted to coax another 100 hp out of that to keep the modern cars honest at the lights. Will it lose out too much in the Arizona heat or does it have a big intercooler on that hairdryer?

both my parents drive subarus. my mom is a 95 legecy wagon which i will get if i sell my 66 stang (see my other post) and my dad has a 00 legecy sedan.

damn good cars and actually if i did sell my stang and my mom gave me her wagon id sell that too (probably get around 4k if im lucky).
then get a impresa rs. the cool little sporty one before they switched to the wrx stuff. my friend had one and it is just a 2.5 and it will throw u back a bone stock.

btw my mom gets about 28 and my dad get about 32 (both on freeway)
