While filling up with gas, I noticed a reflection of some surface rust under the lip of the trunk. The funny thing is though, I would not have noticed it except for the reflection in the bumper.
So, I took the bumper off, and taped and newspapered it and hit the rust with a rust encapsulator (pic 1) primed it (pic 2) and painted it (pic 3) Now all I have to do is replace the bumper when it dries. (pic 4)
So, you guys keep a lookout for rust in the most unusual places and nip it in the bud before it does some serious damage.

I haven't done anything to it yet. I need to save a few more green backs then I'll have a pro do it. I did push out the dent and prepped and painted the two sections that had metal showing. It doesn't look quite as bad as it did, but it still makes me sickl.

Glen drive on up here. We'll work the dent out after some good Nebraska beef off the grill, and possibly some good lake trout if we can get a boat in the water for a few hours..lol.

yeah when my stang had decent paint on it ,,,i got sick whenever somebody dinged it with a door ,,,,i cant imagine if somebody hit my car on the road....i wouldnt know what to do....geeeeezzzzz

I may take you up on that this Spring or summer when it gets a little warmer in that deep freeze you guys call Nebraska. You know what's funny? Texas beat both Nebraska and OU, but it is going to either be Nebraska or Oklahoma who will win the Big 12.

Yeah isnt that strange? And Okie State beat NU, and lost to OU, but K state beat Okie State and NU beat K state.. Strange year in football...

Oh and I dont live in Nebraska anymore.. I live in a place with much better weather in winter and summer.. its 850 miles north east of Nebraska.. lol
