Default just an update

Hey guys, been a while since I posted some pics, and I wanted to give an update of how the project Mach 1 is doing. You can see the engine is in, still a lot of wiring to do and some more parts to install on it. I have a nice set of valve covers with the 351 engraved on it but I didnt want to get them all dirty yet. The T5 tranny is in, shifter is viewable. The shifter boot isnt quite in place but thats cuz I havent drilled the holes yet. Driveshaft is next to the car cuz it needs to be shortened, and the dash is also next to the car. The rear end is painted and installed. I just filled her up a lil while ago with some new Royal Purple Max Gear oil. On hte back of the car is about 6 boxes, some full some not, but some random parts that need to be installed. Radiator, keys, wiring....(ya, lots of wiring). Anyway, enjoy.

man all that wiring scares me...i hate electrics. the rest of it is looking great. what's your time frame to finish it?

how hard was the t5 fitment? Is it all available as a kit over there? whats your best guess on the total cost of the conversion?

well, im currently working on some Boy Scout stuff, but im hoping to have this thing running within about 3months or so. The conversion kit cost 2000, not including clutch pedal or driveshaft. The driveshaft cost about 300 with the yoke. I got the pedal as a freebie with the car. But the tranny fit nicely, just took a little while to get it in using aome simple jacks and man-power,lol.

whats in the kit? does that include the box, bell housing, shifter etc I'm guessing clutch is extra. Do you have to go hydraulic clutch, cable or stick with mechanical?

That looks kick but!! Very nice work!! Did you have to trim the hole in the floor to get the shifter through? I did on my 67.

The kit includs the clutch, cable, but that fine for me. Check out moderndrivline.com for everything. But they give you literally everything you need. I didnt really need to trim my hole, but i probably should have cuz it is rubbing a little bit. I might take the jig saw to it later.
