Default cowl induction.

I have a 1967 Coupe with the 289, the cowl induction has rusted beyond the repair capability of the top hat looking things. Is it possible it plug up the standard induction and install a hood scoop or side scoops in place of the stock. has any one accomplished this, if so could you please e-mail me at mindf__k@hotmail.com or just post here with ideas. thank you in advance.[sm=guilty.gif][sm=groupwave.gif][sm=guilty.gif]

um, well if your talking about the cowl right in front of the window that has nothing to do with induction into the engine and u wouldnt need to change your hood. ford was stupid and didnt water proof the inside so nearly everyones is the same way. it a pretty pricy fix but their are little plastic covers u can put on it. i think in the faq section it will tell you how to go about fixin it

You can get one of these to seal it up:

Someone else on Ebay used to sell thin black magnetic ones that look great - I purchased one for the 67. Don't see it anymore though.[:@]

You pulled the windshield and fenders, drilled out all three hundred plus spot welds, removed the cowl cover, cut out the cowls, welded in the new ones, welded back on the cowl cover, and put back in the fenders and winshield in one day?????????????????????????

Ya I fixed mine by welding a patch over the hole thing and removing the heater core and hoses from the engine. I installed a electric defroster, dosent produce enough heat for the hole car but the windows are clear. ( I only use the car in the summer)
