Default 9" rear end question.

I looked through the FAQ section and couldn't find the answer I am looking for. I found a rear with disks and want to check find out if it will fit under my 68. If I can get the flange to flange and the face of rotor to face of rotor measurement I'd appreciate it. The perches don't matter because this rear doesn't have any yet.

59.25"
Here is a great page for 9" information. I posted this site a while back, not sure what happened to the post. Sometimes the search engine doesn't work so great.
Here it is again.

Go to the top and put your cursor over the 9" page. He has done a nice job of documenting all this stuff.

BTW: Nothing to welding on the perches.
Good luck,

67 or 68 housing 54.5" flange to flange. Us por folks around here are using disc off Crown Vics or Explorer's. May have to re-drill mount bracket holes (widen just a little) to fit the flange. I cut a piece of pipe to make about a 1/4 spacer to hold the bearing secure and have had no problems. Used sets are about $50 to $100. New roters are usually around $30 to $50. I have a Lincoln setup but I like the newer stuff a lot better. Emergency brake cables are easy also on these.
