1,700 bux is just for the short block.

 

and $1700 for an aftermarket block that wont split down the middle like a factory block is CHEAP! Considering I gotta pay $3000 for a beefy Pontiac block, but at least it will go out to 4.375 on the bore and handle a 5" stroke... When they make a small Ford block that will go that far, I have a nice set of Cleveland heads for it..
