Default Windage Tray

Would it be worth it to buy a windage tray for my car? I never spin higher than 5k so I'm not really sure if i will see any gains in hp or tq. Does anyone have any experience with them and approximate gains i could expect?

all it does it scrape off the extra oil off the crank and helps it spin more freely

A crank scraper actually scrapes the oil off of the crank, a windage tray prevents oil from being splashed around in the pan and hitting the crank. i just wanted to know if anyone has any personal experience with them and if they noticed a difference in power

Yes I have personal experience with a windage tray.

You will not notice any power increase in your automobile that is running out of breath at 5k rpm, and IMHO would be a complete waste of your money.

I have a windage tray in my motor that spins to 7500, it is designed to keep the your oil from becoming arated which can happen at higher RPMs thereby causing you to not have enough oil left in the pan because it isn't making its way back and collecting fast enough which in turn cause a drop in oil pressure. It is (along with a crank scrapper) a fine way to 'eek out a few more ponies from a performance build and also help protect against damage.

Here's the oil pan I use to manage my oil slosh
There's also a windage tray in use as well.
