Default 289 vs 302

Ive been particulary interested by the 302 engnie lately. I'm new to classic cars, and old mustangs espcially. My car, having a 289 engine i obviously dont know to mucha bout the 302. All i really know is that the 302 was released into 68s late in the year. Ive been searching on the web for any sort of specs sheet, or any short of concrete information on a stock 302... All ive come up with on google searchs are modified or rebuilt 302s for sale....not what im looking for... im just looking for any concrete info or just information based on your past experiences...which engine is better in your opinion, and why?

A 302 is basically a stroked 289. They both share a 4" bore and are dimensionally identical.
