Default Just scored again!

I just scored a 9" for $100. I found it on craigslist. It seems as though I find most of my deals there. I had to cut it out from under a 63 falcon today. It didn't help that it's friggin snowing out there either. It's that stupid wet snow that we get when it's warm out (about 30 deg). Anyway, I have not looked up any of the numbers yet so I'm not possitive what it is yet. I check the ratio and it appears to be a 3.00. Both drums turn when I spin the yoke. I tried holding each drum when doing so and they both turn. The dimensions are just right for my 68 too

Here are some parts I'm selling for a big block. They are all new and still in the wrappers. They are for the 429-460 size big blocks. All parts are COMP CAMS brand except for the Harland Sharp 1.73 rollers. I can do a good deal if you buy everything. Or, if you have a friend or family member in the trucking business, I need to get that 347 stroker from KY to AK. I can have it trucked as far as So Cal and from there I can also have it flown up here on Alaska Airlines. LMK

I don't remember any wet snow when I was stationed at Fort Richardson back in the late 60's. And, I don't remember any 30 degree weather in December either. The snow was powder, and it stuck to tree limbs and was absolutely beautiful.
Anyway, get your young butt in the house and quit working on cars in sub zero weather that will come your way very shortly. Good find on the 9 inch though.

I love global warming. I figure if all of us drive our mustangs as much as possible, I will be able to work on my mustang in December in a few years. Thanks!

If thats the original rear end from a 63 falcon, its an 8" and worth a few bucks since its spefic to the 63s and pretty rare. Do you know how to easily and positively tell the difference between an 8 and 9" rear?

It's a nine.

Also, Now I know where ford got the interior for the mustang. It's amazing how the 63 falcons interior was almost identical to the mustang.

You make it sound like a 9 inch is a pretty good steal for a hundred bucks. I've been buying them much cheaper than that, do they usually sell for more than that on here, or do they need to be something special to get a good price for one?

Thanks,
Scott

Scott, you must be lucky if you can buy them all day long for under $100. In Alaska, not too many floating around. The one's that are for sale usually bring $500+. So yep, it is a big deal. You should buy all you can and sell them on e-bay for $400 and quadruple your money

Are the one's you can buy truck rear ends? Mine will bolt right in.
