Heat Wave
Isnt it amazing how different things can be on the same planet!
So exactly how cold does it get where you are? I take it that THumpin lives in an area that is below average for mainland USA and LCC must get cold toes in the morning too.
Here, summer maximums are typically 85-100 with about 110 as the normal max in a heat wave. We get the occaisional stinker at up to 118. We have very little summer rainfall.
Winter is normally 40 min with mid 60 to low 70s as a typical max. we get frosts occaisionally down to low 20's but snow is unheard of.

well im in Southern Cailfornia..... in the mojave desert..... last week it was like 15 degrees at night...which was a little below average.... normally the winters are 30 to 50 and winds up to 40 mph once in while .....then in the summers.....[:@] its gets hot.....when your tires rip up the asphalt in the parking lots....we normally are 90 - 107....then if a heat wave comes through its about 115.....
Now get this.....there is the Angeles Forest between me (lancaster) and LA and Hollywood. Which is about 50 miles. It can easily be 20 degrees cooler in the summer months.... If you dont have AC in your cars during the hot summer months......you should just park it....but when it drops back to the 90s......its real nice
it feels like 70
I love the weather......and hate it all at the same time

and no traffic about 50 minutes....The local freeway.....its a raceway, the speed limit is 65 mph and we all go 70 -75 sometimes everyone is going 80.....and there are always those who still fly by.....and the cops. they are all to busy eating doughnuts
Alot of people live in my city and commute to LA.....so traffic in the mornings is terrible going south....and reversed in the evenings.

So at what point does driving a stang give way to a 4wd or no driving at all?
I am starting to understand why so many on this forum talk about their winter projects like bears in hibernation!
Yeah, Rhode Island is Yankee country.
Thumpin is up around the great lakes region where it gets pretty cold during the winter. Texas is a very large state, so it just depends on what part of Texas you are from. The west Texas guys up around Amarillo see a lot of snow, whereas we central Texas and south Texas guys rarrely ever see snow.

I have to go up into the mountains to see snow. I am about ten miles south of the CITY of Los Angeles. If I look form my roof, if the smog levels are down, I can see the city. Not far from the beach.
